It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marshall French on March 27th at the age of 74. He was the son of the late John French and Nellie Smallian.
Marshall had a wonderful sense of humour and a great ability to make others smile. His kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand will be missed throughout his community. He was happiest outdoors and loved fishing, hunting, and being in nature.
Marshall will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nancy Berndt, his daughters: Cindy and Kristina French, his sister Dorothy (late Norman) Kinkaid, his niece Holly Kinkaid (Garth Tissington), and nephew James (Miriam) Kinkaid, as well as many relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated on April 8th 2023 at 2pm, at the Hill and Gully Riders Club (149 Inlet Road, Mulgrave and Derry, QC).

My sincere condolences.
As first cousins, Marshall and I shared a bond. Our conversations usually happened when we met on the road. After 45 minutes or so of most enjoyable conversations, we would part with "let's get together sometime".
"Well Marshall, we will meet again down the road and we will have more time to talk."

We were saddened to hear of Marshall’s passing.. I knew him since grade school days and close to 50 years a neighbour at Long Lake . He possessed an impressive knowledge of forestry, woodwork and environmental issues.
He would readily share his knowledge with friends and family.
Marshall expressed genuine concern for the quality of area watersheds. May he rest in peace.

Nancy, Cindy and Kristina our deepest sympathy. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with Marshall. A trip to red pine lake one of his favorite fishing spots. Projects he took on with me and completed with great success. He will be missed by my family.
