Passed away on February 10, 2012 at the age of 77.
What a great lady. Chock full of vitality and good cheer, and always willing to make trouble for the sake of a good cause.
She was the beloved wife of Olof Roger Eckstrand. Loving mother of Roger (Lorraine Reilly), Kris (Leanne Baines) and Kevin (Claudine Cyr). Cherished grandmother of Zack, Kai, Jasmine, Mia, Maïka and Cédrik. Daughter of the late James William MacLeod and the late Marjory Lee MacLeod. Devoted friend of Pat Barry and many others too numerous to mention. She leaves behind a great many cherished relatives, friends, colleagues and admirers.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, at 2:00PM at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Avenue, Ottawa. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the family at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Those wishing to make a tribute in her honour are asked for donations to the Ottawa Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
