Glenn Scharfe, 65, of Cantley Quebec. passed away on January 23, 2020, surrounded by family.
He was born to parents Ormond and Kathleen, on December 13, 1954, in Ottawa, Ontario. He grew up in Gatineau, Quebec on a farm. He joined the Navy to see the world, and was the last employee of the Domtar paper-mill in Ottawa, retiring after 35 years of service.
He married Linda, the love of his life, November 4, 1977, who survives him. Glenn was survived by sister Sharon Labelle (Geoff), brother Donald Scharfe (Clara), daughter Marley Scharfe (Cedrick), son Gavin Scharfe (Caroline), as well as grandson Liam Scharfe. Glenn was predeceased by his parents Ormond and Kathleen Scharfe.
Glenn was known for his generosity, kindness, storytelling and so much more. At any gathering he could command the attention of the room and hold it till he decided enough was enough. He made songs and told stories that crafted minds, and taught lessons. He imbued his knowledge to all so that they may learn from what he already knew to be true. He was always there to stand by his family and defend anyone that needed help. He was a kind and happy soul up to his final moments.
