It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Goodfellow, on Friday November 25th, 2011. Al passed away peacefully at home at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Aline (Warden) and devoted father to son Mark (Krista Trudeau) and his soon to be born grandson as well as his daughter Tracy (Fred O’Toole). He also leaves his father-in-law Wesley Warden (late Marie-Reine Gravelle) and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends. Al is also survived by his military family. A proud supporter of the Ottawa Senators, Al was a man of laughter and joy and in life as in death, was truly deserving of the name Goodfellow.
Predeceased by his parents Alvin Sr, May (Leon) and sister Carol. There will be no visit at the Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday December 1st, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Church, 160 Rue Principale in Gatineau (Aylmer sector). The family will receive condoleances at 10:00 a.m. A celebration in honour of Al’s life will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall 78 rue Principale, Gatineau (Aylmer sector) immediately following the service.
Donations to the Little Angels blood cancer fund 613-761-4295, would be appreciated. We would like to extend a very special thank you to his medical family at the Ottawa General Hospital’s BMT unit, Module L and Medical Day Care as well as Helene L’Africain of the Aylmer CLSC.
