À la mémoire de

Sylvia Sanderson

1940 - 2018

MIZGALA, Sylvia Helen (née Sanderson)

April 7, 1940 – October 21, 2018

Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbour, Sylvia passed away peacefully into the beautiful beyond with dignity and grace, under the extraordinary care of the staff and volunteers at la Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie, in Gatineau (Hull). Sylvia had an amazing propensity for faith, hope, justice, kindness and generosity. She had a loving heart, a sparkling wit and a fierce intelligence. A kind, gracious and thoughtful person, she was always welcoming and supportive to those who needed it most. Sylvia will be deeply missed by her loving family and her many dear friends.

A funeral mass will be held at Saint Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, in Gatineau (Aylmer), on November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to La maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie would be greatly appreciated by her family.

Messages de sympathie

Dear Stan, May I express my sincerest condolenances to you at the death of Sylvia that's only just come to my attention. And to your daughter and grandson as well. I think the last time I may have seen you was in an accidental meeting on a street in Ottawa some 30 years or more ago. But in the long and sometimes intense years I knew the two of you in Montreal, Sylvia with her great personality of joy and kindness brightened my contacts with many people I was called upon to deal with. I wish her a good rest in the Lord and wish to all the members of her family that joy and kindness she so generously inspired in others. Tony Raspa (20 April 2020)
