"Uncle Elmer" was a friend of my parents, and served as Best Man at my parents' wedding in Brudenell, Ontario, many years now passed. His image is sprinkled across the photos in my parents' wedding album, and he was always known to my brother and I, as "Uncle" Elmer, since our childhood. He brought my Aunt and Uncle to visit my father, only weeks before Christmas, which I know he enjoyed in his own way, and to the extent of his abilities due to his own illness. I am thankful to have seen Uncle Elmer prior to this, as we did not see him very often, and I will always remember him as a quiet, private man with a very soft-spoken voice. My prayers, sympathies and sincere condolences to his family and friends, who will undoubtedly feel his absence. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that he was such a good man and a loyal friend to those around him.
