February 27, 1954 - April 13, 2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Douglas Dodd on April 13th, 2019, at the Gatineau Hospital.
Surrounded by his loving wife of 44 years Denise Tassé, his daughter Liane (Gilles Ferland), his son Patrick, his grandchildren Elyssa and Alexis, wich were his little rays of sunshine and his brothers Kelly and Mike.
Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Shirley (Dancey) Dodd.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved sister Wendy and his brothers Kelly and Mike.
Dear brother in law of Francine (Mike predeceased), Nicole (predeceased), Lynne (Daniel predeceased), Manon (Denis), Pierre and Michel and many nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins and also loved by many friends.
A ceremony of his life, will be held on Saturday April 20th, 2019 at 2 pm at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, located at 95 boul. Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau (secteur Hull). The family will received condolences from 1 pm.

I’m so sorry for your family's loss.
With your help Bim proved to be a courageous warrior in the face of adversity. He continued to enjoy life to the fullest after a serious illness because of the people who surrounded and loved him.
Bim was an inspiration and I will miss him.

One of my personal life mentor is gone. Today I posed and reflected on what that means to me. After spending some quality time today with Denise, Liane and Pat it struck me how Doug knowingly or not guided me to be the Dad that I am today. I gratefully bow my head to you Doug for giving me the values of what a father should be! Liane and Patrick have tons of wonderful stories about you as a dad and as they were sharing I could see in there glowing eyes the impact you have empowered them with. Your legacy is your total devotion to your wife Denise a lifetime of love and the very BEST Dad ever. I am proud to call you my mentor my brother. You will be missed!

So sorry for your loss I have fond memory of Bim when we were growing up. I wish I could be there for you all but we leave Florida on the 20th just know my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

So sad to hear about Doug. He was a great guy. Had many good times with you guys. Unfortunately, Jose and I will be in the maritimes, visiting our daughter, Amanda.
